Sidecar crashing is a very common thing in every race meeting and my dad has had one very bad one that launch him into the air and into trees. Now I don't exactly what he broke but I know he got brain damage from it and pulled ligaments from his neck because he is always complaining how sore his neck is even to this day. Its pretty obvious that he has brain damage, trust me when you meet him you'll know straight away.
This is a picture of a team from New Zealand about to crash.The driver and passenger were alright after the crash with just a few scrapes and bruises. From memory they did compete the next day.
This is them about to make contact with the concrete.The passenger looks like he's standing up behind the sidecar but is actually about to hit the concrete at a fast rate.
