History of the artist
Green Day
Green Day arose from the Northern California underground punk scene. Childhood friends Billie Joe Armstrong (guitar, vocals) and Mike Dirnt (bass) formed their first band, Sweet Children, in Rodeo, California when they were 14. By 1989, the group had added drummer Al Sobrante and changed its name to Green Day.
Papa Roach
Papa Roach is an American rock band from Vacaville, California, formed in 1993. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, drummer Dave Buckner, bassist Will James, and trombonist Ben Luther. After two EPs, James left and was replaced by Tobin Esperance.
Linkin Park
Linkin Park was founded by three high school friends: Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, and Brad Delson. Though limited in resources, the band began recording and producing songs within Shinoda's makeshift bedroom studio in 1996, resulting in a four-track demo tape, entitled Xero.
Songs That made each band famous
Green Day
Boulevard of Broken Dreams With a Grammy for Record of the Year, a No. 2 spot on Billboard's Hot 100 and the distinction of being the ninth best-selling song of the '00s, it's hard to argue that 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' is Green Day's most commercially successful song.
Papa Roach
"Last Resort" is a song by rock band Papa Roach. The song first appeared on the soundtrack to the 2000 film Ready to Rumble and appeared on Papa Roach's second studio album, Infest, shortly after. "Last Resort" was released as the album's lead single on March 7, 2000, and reached number 57 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in December 2000. It also topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart for seven weeks and became a top-10 hit in Austria, Germany, Portugal, and the United Kingdom.
Linkin Park
"What I've Done" is a song by American rock band Linkin Park. It was released as the first single from their third studio album, Minutes to Midnight (2007), and is the sixth track. The song is composed in the key of G minor.[3] The song was released as a radio single on April 1, 2007, as a digital download on April 2, and as a CD single on April 30. The live version of "What I've Done" from Road to Revolution: Live at Milton Keynes was nominated for Best Hard Rock Performance at the 52nd Grammy Awards, but did not win.[4] It also serves as the main theme of the 2007 science fiction film Transformers and also appears on Transformers: The Album (2007).[5] Being certified five times platinum by the RIAA, it is the band's most commercially successful single in terms of pure sales, and reached number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.
