The only way to arrive here on Diosakuri Island is by an small boat powered by electricity. As a tourist here on Diosakuri Island, please do not illegally commute to the island by a fossil-fueled boat, or bring other vehicles for your stay that are also powered by fossil fuels. Social Code of Diosakuri Island
Equality of Opportunity
Every resident or employee must be given the equality of opportunity. This means that you should give everyone an equal chance, despite their history, colour or background.
As a tourist, rest assured that everyone around you does not tolerate or practice, equality of outcome. Equality of Outcome means that however much work you put in, or however little work someone else puts in, you will all get the same outcome. So, if you abide by the rules and enjoy yourself here on Diosakuri Island, then you know that you will not get the same punishment as someone who broke the rules, (as would happen if we practiced equality of outcome).
Interacting with Others
Treat others as you want to be treated - This is very important here on Diosakuri Island. Tourists, like you, should strive to contribute and be part of a lovely community, that cares about others and treats each other with the respect they deserve. If you show someone a bit of kindness when they need it, you never know; When you are in need, some other person could do the same for you. It doesn't matter where someone comes from, the colour of their skin, or the language they speak, because ALL people are welcome here at Diosakuri Island Resort.
Local Culture and Heritage
As tourists, we ask that you respect our local culture of the native Diosakurian tribe. Without these native people, our island, and resort, would not exist today. Sadly, the Diosakurian culture and language is dying with their elders, but we here at Diosakuri Resort feel passionately about not letting this beautiful, and unique culture cease to exist.
Every night, between 6 and 7pm, our local Diosakurian tribes present a cultural performance. The purpose of this is to gain the interest of the younger generation, spark a desire in their heart to preserve our native language, and educate them on our culture and heritage. Any visitors or tourists are welcome at this cultural event, and we would love it if you would participate; In doing so, you would be doing your part to preserve and celebrate our special Diosakurian culture.
How does Diosakuri Island Resort gain power sustainably?
Hydroelectric Sources
Our river that cuts through the center of our island is the main source of our hydroelectric power. Our dam is located close to the starting point of the river, (our very own springs), and it is constantly open to tourists who wish to know more about how we harvest our electricity from the movement of the water. From the hydroelectric dam, we harvest 2/8ths of the power that we gain overall here on Diosakuri Island.
Solar Sources
If you travel to the very eastern tip of Diosakuri Island, you will come across our very own solar plant. Approximately 74 solar panels are located at this plant and no local fauna was destroyed in the making of this plant. By harvesting the sun's rays, our solar plant produces 3/8ths of the power overall that we attain by sustainable means.
Wind Sources
At the opposite end of the island to the solar plant, we have a wind farm. Our farm contains 58 windmills. Because our windmills are so close to the coast, they gain more winds because of the ocean's movement. This farm produces 3/8ths of the overall power that we need to sustain life here on Diosakuri Island.
