The average body length of the red panda is 51 to 64 cms with the tail length being 28 to 49 cms. The average weight of the male red panda is 4.5 to 6.2 kgs and the females 3 to 4.5 kgs.
A majority of the red pandas diet is bamboo leaves, they eat the stalks in spring. They also eat fruit in the summer, as well as flowers and acorns. From time to time they also eat small birds, small rodents and eggs.
They live in China, Their habitat is the cool temperate bamboo forests, and mountainous areas.
Red pandas have long reddish brown fur on their upper parts, blackish fur on its lower parts and a light face with white markings similar to those on a raccoon, and each red panda has individual markings. This reddish coat and the white markings give them great camouflage among the red moss and white lichen that covers the tree trunks of the bamboo forest home they live in. They have a roundish head with a black nose, dark eyes and medium sized upright ears.
The average life expectancy of wild giant pandas is 15-20 years while the captive ones can live up to 30 years. Currently, the record age for a captive one is 38 years. Their teenage years are before 5 years old, youth during 5-18 years and old age after 18 years.
An adult of a large panda can weigh up to 160 kg. Like most animals, male pandas outnumber females. Female large panda rarely reach a weight of more than 100 kg. Having a height at the withers from 60 to 90 cm, the pandas are about the same size as the American black bear.
A panda's daily diet consists almost entirely of the leaves, stems and shoots of various bamboo species.Bamboo contains very little nutritional value so pandas must eat 12-38kg every day to meet their energy needs, But they do branch out, with about 1% of their diet comprising other plants and even meat. While they are almost entirely vegetarian, pandas will sometimes hunt for pikas and other small rodents.

Brown pandas are exactly the same as Giant Pandas, same weight, same diet, same habitat etc. The only difference is looks Brown pandas are light brown and dark brown as a pose to black and white.
