There are many kinds of axolotls, but the important thing is that they are all unique and cute. They come in a range of colours, from brown to pink to yellow.

The yellow axolotl

Unlike the typical dark pigmentation of most axolotls, yellow axolotls present with a range of hues from pale to bright yellow. This coloration is due to a genetic mutation affecting pigmentation.

The black axolotl

The black axolotl,is a unique aquatic amphibian characterized by its dark, almost black colouration.Unlike other axolotl morphs,melanoid axolotls lack iridophore and xanthophore pigment, which are responsible for shiny and yellow pigments

The green axolotl

The green axolotl is a unique variant of the axolotl that gets its colour from a genetic mutation causing it to produce more blue pigment than normal axolotls. While they do not naturally possess vibrant green pigmentation, they can appear green due to genetic modification or specific morphs.

The purple axolotl

There is no such thing as a true purple axolotl. Certain axolotl morphs such as the lavender axolotl or melanoid axolotl might appear somewhat purple under certain lighting conditions. However, these axolotls are either selectively bred from copper or leucistic melanoid so that they appear purple, or they are dyed with a purple colour
