Business description

Nixin Contractors are forest harvesting contractors, the company has been in operation since April 2015. Trees are harvested for JNL sawmill in Masterton, the logs are milled locally and often the timber is used locally, with a small percentage of the logs exported to China.

Team members enjoy being part of successful tree harvesting company and providing quality wood to JNL. We want our staff to enjoy working in our business as much as possible, as it makes the job easier for everyone and it will be reflected in our output and standards. We plan to adapt to the changing needs of logging and adapt technology to improve our work environment as quickly as we can when it is proven and economic. We want staff to have lots of control of their parts of the business and if they prove themselves, we are happy to progress people through the business and into management when feasible.
